OUR FIRM HAS HELPED CHANGE THE LIVES OF PEOPLE

"Our firm has helped change the lives of people and the
laws under which they live," says partner Stephen Warren
Solomon. The legal community agrees. Honored in 2007 Super Lawyers®
for the fourth year in a row, Solomon, Ralph Barat Saltsman and
Stephen Allen Jamieson have been partners for more than 30 years.
Partner R. Bruce Evans was also recognized last year in Rising
Stars.
Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson is the recognized standard bearer
in obtaining and retaining alcohol licenses for all types of
alcohol sellers. They recently brought their unique approach to
Indian gaming and entertainment and have successfully represented
various tribal communities in their efforts to establish their
rights to the many uses of their land. As Saltsman states,
"We come to work every day expecting to do something
interesting and have an impact, and that's exactly what we
do."
Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson has successfully concluded cases
for and aggregate amount approaching $75 million on the plaintiff
side. When it defends cases, the results are equally impressive.
"Whether on plaintiff's side or defendant's side," says
Jamieson, "we apply our hard work, strategic planning and
innovative thinking for the success of our clients."
TOGETHER, THEY CREATE A DYNAMIC LAW
FIRM DISTINGUISHED BY THEIR ENTHUSIASM, EXPERTISE AND PIONEERING
APPROACH TO PREVAIL AGAINST LEGAL OBSTACLES.
Recently, Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson argued before the
California Supreme Court on the grounds that government lawyers
shall not secretly communicate with the ultimate decision maker in
what are called "ex parte" communications. The Supreme
Court agreed and the decision's broad implications changed the law
and the practice of many state and local licensing and regulatory
agencies.
The firm's practice includes all areas of administrative law,
state alcoholic beverage control hearings, as well as state and
local government issues; litigation, civil, business and serious
personal injury matters; land use planning; and constitutional and
appellate law. Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson not only
litigates, but takes pride in the fact that it tries its cases as
well.
The firm routinely generates news, articles and provides statewide
legal seminars.
Solomon, Saltsman & Jamieson lawyers also contribute to Legal
Help Live™, a weekly television show which airs on Channel 16 in
Santa Monica and Channel 36 in Los Angeles. As Los Angeles's only
weekly, live, legal-oriented TV talk show, Legal Help Live
entertains, educates and highlights the latest in law, politics
and current events.
The firm's motto is best said by partner Evans: "The
diversity of cases and our firm's willingness to tackle novel
legal issues, and to take novel legal approaches, keeps us at the
forefront of the law, and of our game."
